In these terms and conditions, “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to Mauritius Holidays. “You”, “your”, “customer”, “he”, “she” refer to the person making the reservation and includes all bookings made for two or more people and all individuals traveling with you. It is assumed that you are the lead contact for your group and that all correspondence regarding arrangements for yourself and all members of your group will take place between you and us. These standard terms and conditions form the basis of the agreement for you and your group’s holiday and shall apply to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions unless expressly agreed to in writing by a director of Mauritius Holidays.

Right to Use

The viewing, printing, or downloading of any content, graphic, form, or document from the Site grants you only a limited, nonexclusive license for use solely by you for your personal use and not for republication, distribution, assignment, sublicense, sale, preparation of derivative works, or other use. No part of any content, form, or document may be reproduced in any form or incorporated into any information retrieval system, electronic or mechanical, other than for your personal use (but not for resale or redistribution).

Copyright

The content, organization, graphics, design, compilation, magnetic translation, digital conversion, and other matters related to the Site are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks, registered trademarks, and other proprietary (including but not limited to intellectual property) rights. The copying, redistribution, use, or publication by you of any such matters or any part of the Site is strictly prohibited. You do not acquire ownership rights to any content, document, or other materials viewed through the Site. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Sale

The following sales terms are communicated to each customer every time an order is processed. Processing an order implies that the customer adheres to the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Clients booking by telephone, online chat, at the office, web, or email will be deemed to have read and accepted the Booking Terms and Conditions set forth on the Mauritius Holidays website. Clients who processed their booking via third parties [such as agents, hotel representatives, family members, or clients with gift vouchers] will be deemed to have read and accepted the Booking Terms and Conditions set forth on the Mauritius Holidays website.

In a booking with more than one participant, the ‘Client’ will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions on behalf of all participants in their party, group, or family. The ‘Client’ is the participant who makes the booking on behalf of all participants in a multi-participant booking and is named in the ‘Client’ field within the booking. Within these Booking Conditions, “you” and “your” means all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added at a later date).

Reservations

To process your reservation request fully and provide you with the activity on your preferred date, we advise placing your order a minimum of 20 days prior to your travel date. All reservations are subject to availability. Any disability requiring special attention should be reported at the time of booking. Mauritius Holidays will make all reasonable attempts to accommodate the needs of disabled tour participants. By making a booking with Mauritius Holidays, whether directly through the website or by email, you and all members of your group are understood to have accepted our standard terms and conditions. For group bookings (two persons or more), the person making the booking is responsible for making all members of their group aware of these conditions.

Mauritius Holidays does not display live availability for the various products featured on the website. All bookings will be confirmed by our customer service staff once a booking is made and as per the actual availability. It is recommended that you contact Mauritius Holidays before any online booking to confirm availability for your desired dates and times. In the event a client books an activity without confirming availability with one of Mauritius Holidays’ agents, and there is no availability for the requested date and time, a cancellation fee (5% of the total amount) will be charged for bank processing fees and handling costs.

Payment System & Payment Methods

Mauritius Holidays uses a secure online payment system. Online Reservations can only be made with a valid credit card. If you do not want to use our payment system or do not own a credit card, you can contact us directly to discuss alternative payment methods. The order confirmed by the client will be considered valid only when approved by the payment system. If the payment system does not approve the transaction, the order will be automatically cancelled and the client will be informed by email.

Mauritius Holidays does not charge a service fee for processing credit card payments. Full payment by credit card is required to make a reservation. For web orders, only credit cards are accepted. Credit cards accepted are:

  • VISA
  • Mastercard
  • American Express

On special requests and following confirmation from Mauritius Holidays’ owner, it is also possible to pay by bank transfer directly to the Mauritius Holidays bank account.

Charge-back customers who initiate chargebacks will be reported to all major credit bureaus as a delinquent collection account.

Prices

Please refer to the product description for the price of each specific Attraction, Activity, Tour, and Excursion. Prices advertised on Mauritius Holidays include the cost of providing the attractions, handling, reservation fees, credit card processing fees, clearance fees, and local taxes. Unless detailed otherwise in the specification of the activity, these prices do not include transportation, food, beverages, guide, tips/gratuities to tour directors, drivers, and local guides, or any other service not detailed in the activity specification. As we act only as an agent for our suppliers, we and our suppliers reserve the right to change, amend, or correct prices shown on our site at any time before or after you have booked. Tours and services are subject to currency fluctuation. If the price of your booking changes, we will pass on the details of the change as soon as possible. In the event of a price change after booking, customers will be notified as soon as possible and will be required to settle the difference accordingly. Prices are based on the local tariffs offered by our suppliers. The prices for the activities on the website are in Euros. It is also possible to pay for the activities in pound sterling, in which case the price will be converted at the prevailing foreign exchange rate.

Child rates are available for children based on the age definition specific to that product.

Products/Activities

The product offers are valid within the limits of availability. These products are offered and supplied to the customer through our suppliers and third parties. The photos, illustrations, and other promotional material used for the description of the activity are for the purpose of exemplifying products of the same type of activity. We cannot guarantee that all photos advertised and used on this website illustrate the exact attraction as offered by the service provider. The only purpose of these photos is to give customers a better understanding of the attractions from such category. The descriptions and illustrations on any of our literature and website are given as approximate representations only, and given in good faith. Please note that indicated return times are according to normal road and weather conditions and may change if conditions are unfavorable. Mauritius Holidays aims to be accurate in the details shown on its website and in its offers but makes no commitment about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the material or about the results to be obtained from using our websites and the material.

Provision of Service

No compensation of any kind or responsibility can be taken if, due to circumstances beyond our or our supplier’s control, we have to notify a change to your arrangements after departure, or we or our suppliers cannot supply your arrangements in full or in part as agreed, or you suffer any loss, injury, accident, or damage of any description to person or personal property. A circumstance beyond our or our supplier’s control is one that cannot be foreseen or avoided, even after taking all due care and includes but is not limited to war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial disputes, acts of God, natural or nuclear disaster, high water levels, technical or maintenance problems, and bad weather situations or forecasts. Mauritius Holidays also reserves the right to cancel scheduled tours, attractions, and activities at any time in the event of hazardous weather conditions or unforeseen operational problems. Mauritius Holidays reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone at its sole discretion.

Open Voucher Validation

Mauritius Holidays offers its customers the option to order an open voucher for a specific Activity, Attraction, Tour, or Excursion. The open voucher can only be used for the specific Activity, Attraction, Tour, or Excursion for which it has been purchased as detailed on the order confirmation and on the voucher itself. Please note that the Open Voucher is only valid for use for the relevant activity for which it was purchased and is valid for a period of 3 months from the day of its purchase. Meaning, the activity must begin during the 3 months validation period of the open voucher = must go on the activity within a maximum of 3 months from the date of its purchase.

In case the customer fails to use the open voucher during the period of 3 months and fails to go on the Attraction, Activity, Tour, or Excursion for which it has been purchased, the open voucher will no longer be of any use and Mauritius Holidays will not refund the amount paid.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policies are the cancellation fees payable for the different types of activities offered by Mauritius Holidays.

  • Tours and Day Trips: More than 24 hours notice – no cancellation fee. Less than 24 hours notice – 100% cancellation fee.
  • Holiday Package: More than 3 days’ notice – 25% cancellation fee. 3 days or less notice – 100% cancellation fee.
  • Hotel Accommodation: More than 7 days’ notice – 25% cancellation fee. 7 days or less notice – 100% cancellation fee.
  • Airport Transfers and Transportation Services: More than 12 hours’ notice – no cancellation fee. Less than 12 hours notice – 100% cancellation fee.
  • Activities (not including the above categories): More than 24 hours notice – no cancellation fee. Less than 24 hours notice – 100% cancellation fee.

For group bookings and special requests, please refer to the specific cancellation terms provided at the time of booking. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the arrival time is not affected by flight delays or cancellations. Mauritius Holidays is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations due to adverse weather conditions or other causes beyond the control of Mauritius Holidays. Clients are recommended to purchase insurance to cover cancellations.

Refund Policy

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 10 business days. Refunds can only be made via the original payment method. If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly for their refund policy.
