We want you to save money. The government helps us with this. There are two big ways to save.
EDB VAT Refund Scheme
The Economic Development Board has a special scheme. You can get a refund on your VAT. This is 15% of your accommodation costs. To qualify, you need a group of 50 people or more. They must come from abroad. They must stay for at least 3 nights in a hotel.
You must register the event 4 weeks before it starts. We can help you with the forms. It is money back in your pocket.
MTPA Incentive Programme
The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority offers money too. For groups of 100 to 250 people, you get 100,000 Rupees. For groups over 250 people, you get 200,000 Rupees. You must stay for at least 3 nights.
You can use this money for many things. You can use it for a gala dinner. You can use it for cultural shows. Similarly, you can use it for transport and logistics. It is a great help for your budget.
