Spend a full day on the west coast lagoon with a 36 ft luxury catamaran and a crew for your group only. You look out for spinner dolphins, snorkel on the reef, stop at Crystal Rock, and land on Île aux Bénitiers for a barbecue lunch on the sand. With no other passengers on board, the crew plans the day around you, so you stay longer where you like and skip what you don’t.
The day starts at Black River, where the crew welcomes you aboard. You leave at 09:00 and sail along the south-west coast, where spinner dolphins often rest in the calm bays in the morning. The crew keeps a lookout so you can watch them from the deck.
The catamaran then anchors on the reef for a swim and a snorkel in clear, shallow water.
Next is Crystal Rock, standing alone in the turquoise lagoon and one of the most photographed spots in Mauritius. With the boat to yourselves, you can stay as long as you need for photos.
The last stop is Île aux Bénitiers, a flat island about 2 km long, covered in coconut palms and fringed with white sand. While you swim or relax, the crew grills lunch. After lunch, you have free time on the beach, then an easy sail back to Black River for around 15:00.
Prefer a shorter day on the water? The private half-day cruise with dolphins and snorkelling covers the same coast before lunch, and the private sunset cruise on the west coast takes a boat out for the last two hours of light.
BBQ lunch, €40 per person: grilled chicken, marinated fish, rice salad, potato salad, green salad, pasta, garlic bread and seasonal fruit.
Lobster BBQ lunch, €70 per person: a 350 g lobster with garlic and parsley butter, plus the full BBQ.
Vegetarian lunch, €40 per person: grilled vegetable skewers with all the salads and sides.
Drinks with every menu: soft drinks, beer, wine, local rum, tea and coffee.
You can mix menus in one group, for example lobster for some guests and BBQ for the rest.

We can arrange a private return transfer from your hotel in an air-conditioned car with a local English- and French-speaking driver. We have 4-, 6-, and 12-seat vehicles. The price depends on how far your hotel is from Black River.
Île aux Bénitiers takes its name from the giant clams (bénitiers in French) that once lived in large numbers in its lagoon. Le Morne Brabant, the mountain behind Crystal Rock, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because escaped slaves hid on its cliffs in the 18th and 19th centuries.
